Soccer Updates | LCBI High School 2014/2015

Important Soccer Dates:

  • Monday, Sept. 1: First soccer practice (time to be announced)
  • Saturday, Sept. 6th: Soccer camp (dependent upon guest coach – Please see this page for confirmation prior to Sept. 6)

Suggested Soccer Workouts:

Below you will find a list of suggested workouts to get you in great shape for soccer season. The great thing about these workouts is that they are short, but intense! Coach Rick Delainey has used the same routine to prepare for the Spartan Race he’s competing in at Red Deer on September 7th – so he knows how effective they are. If you miss a day don’t worry about it! If you have any questions regarding nutrition, hydration, workouts, concerns or modifications, please email rdelainey@lcbi.sk.ca

Important Notes:

  • Please do not complete the workout followed directly by the run – do the workout in the morning, and the run in the evening.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast prior to the workout, with due time to digest before your workout
  • Drink 12 ounces of water at least 30 prior to your work out
  • Use recovery drinks post-workout (eg. Gatorade)
  • Ensure you practice cool-downs post-workout such as walking, cycling or light stretching

Monday, August 18 Workout + 1 mile run

Tuesday, August 19 Workout + 1 mile run

Wednesday, August 20 Workout + 1 mile run

Thursday, August 21: Rest Day

Friday, August 22 Workout + 1 mile run

Saturday, August 23 Workout + 1 mile run

Sunday, August 24 Workout + no run

Monday, August 25 Workout + 1 mile run

Tuesday, August 26 Workout + 1 mile run

Wednesday, August 27: Rest Day

Thursday, August 28 Workout + 1 mile run

Friday, August 29 Workout + 1 mile run

Saturday, August 30 Workout + no run

Sunday, August 31: Rest Day
