Our Sporting Culture

At LCBI, athletics are an important part of student life. Through sport, our young people develop character and perseverance. We develop well-rounded students who grow through a variety of experiences. We offer an array of sporting programs bolstered by excellent coaching. Because of our school’s manageable size, we rarely cut athletes from teams. We believe in the value of competition and inclusion. We work hard to enable every athlete at LCBI to approach their personal potential.

INAUGURAL DAUGHTERS AND SONS OF LCBI AWARD

The Lady Bisons were presented with LCBI’s first-ever Daughters and Sons of LCBI Award. This award was created by President Wayne Hove and recognizes students who demonstrate the values of LCBI. He saw integrity and sportsmanship in the Lady Bisons basketball team.

Updated Daughters and Sons Award

We offer a variety of sports, including soccer, football, volleyball, cross country, badminton, and track and field. There are also opportunities for students to play baseball, fast pitch and hockey when there is sufficient interest. Our boys compete under the LCBI Bisons moniker, while our girls teams are called the Lady Bisons. Each year, our teams participate in high profile tournaments held throughout Saskatchewan. LCBI also hosts its own annual tournaments, including the Rick Johnson Basketball Classic.
